DHTML (Dynamic Hypertext Markup Language)
Dynamic HTML or DHTML is a collection of technologies used together to create interactive and animated web sites by using a combination of a static markup language (such as HTML), a client-side scripting language (such as JavaScript), a presentation definition language (Cascading Style Sheets, CSS), and the Document Object Model.
DOM - Document Object Model
The Document Object Model (DOM) is a platform- and language-independent standard object model for representing HTML or XML and related formats. A web browser is not obliged to use DOM in order to render an HTML document. However, the DOM is required by JavaScript scripts that wish to inspect or modify a web page dynamically. In other words, the Document Object Model is the way JavaScript sees its containing HTML page and browser state.
Domain (Domain Name)
A name that identifies a computer or computers on the Internet. These names appear as a component of a Web site's URL, e.g. powercms.net. This type of domain name is also called a hostname.
Download
Uploading and downloading are related terms used to describe the transfer of electronic data between two computers or similar systems.
Dynamic Fonts
Dynamic fonts is a web browser technology used when visiting any website that uses fonts which are not installed on client's machine. The web browser would not be able to display the page properly, but will select one of fonts available on client machine. This technology is helpful in displaying multilingual websites.
